3 rôzne vrstvy vztlaku sa starajú o všetky schopnosti a možno ich ľahko zmeniť na vykonávanie širokej škály rozvojových plaveckých cvičení. StrokeFloat vytvára nadľahčenie pre vrtáky s jedným ramenom a vrtáky s bočným kopnutím. Tieto cvičenia pomôžu rozvinúť základnú silu plavca vo vode, zlepšiť jeho plný dosah a úplné vystretie (vzdialenosť na jeden úder) a celkovú celkovú techniku.

StrokeFloat sa dá použiť aj na bežné kopanie tak, že ho držíte s dvoma roztiahnutými rukami a rukami v stredových popruhoch. Stredové popruhy slúžia na to, aby držali plavcovu ruku alebo ruky na mieste, takže nie je potrebné chytiť plavák ako pri štandardnom kickboarde. Chytanie za hornú alebo spodnú časť plaváka spôsobí, že plavec sa napne, stane sa menej nadnášajúcim a nevyváženým vo vode.

Môžu ho používať deti aj dospelí so zameraním na rozvoj rovnováhy, rotácie a kĺzania.
